SIF ® Z

Overview

SIF ® Z is the premier product in the reticulated foam technology. The chemistry can be streatched for pore size as low as 3 ppi and as fine as 110 ppi, all in a nominal 2 pcf density. The "Z" stands for "Zapped" meaning the foam is reticulated by a controlled detonation. SIF ® Z is extremely clean, making it very versatile across a wide array of applications. Uses for SIF ® Z include blood filter socks, microphone windscreen covers, negative pressure wound dressings, small engine filters and support structures for ceramic and metal forms.

Primary Usage

The SIF ® Z, or zapped foam, is another solid choice for filtration applications. The SIF ® Z is a "cleaner" foam, making it a good solution for the healthcare market in products usch as Negative Pressure Therapy (NPWT) kits. In general, the product offers an excellent combination of price and performance that can meet many application requirements.
